Right up front I'll say that I know about the dangers of drop hitches, the physics involved etc. Keep in mind that I have a 22re, A/T and undergeared tires. I will not be pulling 10,000.
Looking for a consensus on how much of a drop is OK before it becomes an issue. Also wondering if there's a "safe" way to make a hitch that revleive some of the potential leverage issues related to the drop.
How high off the ground have you guys found still works out ok, for pulling around a small utility trailer (e.g. for yard waste, occasional appliance/hardware supplies etc)?
Right now I'm around 27" to the middle of the receiver.
