Not done but good enough to go to the toy run and work out some bugs. When we decided to go to the toy run in mtn city two weekends ago I tore it apart and started the build so not to disappointed in the ugly, need more time to finish it up but it is ready for a test ride.
38 tsls 5.29 HP yota front with birf eliminators and 1.5 spacers, ifs rear detroit 5.29 gears, 1.3 sami motor carbed till I convert to propane shortly, stock 5 spd, 6.5 gears in the case, pto style frt shaft with 1310 joints, yota rear shaft, still need to mount the winch and airfilter, rear seat, etc but it is ready to go other than the spring swap this weekend.

waiting on the new coils to arrive tomorrow, all the links are DOM 1/4 wall, 14 SAW shocks front Fox 14 rear. 3link frt w/panard 4 link rear uppers triangulated. It'll sit 5 inches lower once the new springs are in and I air down the rear.

poser shot on the bank, couldn't find anything else but trees to drive up and don't trust it pointed that steep and me out of it, would suck if it ended up in the yard below me.

cool, if you see my pile "humped" on your tire don't be surprised. I wanted something cleaner like yours but mine had been through hell before now and the body was wasted. Oh well we'll see how it works, I'd like to take a look at your eng/trans/cases to may want to steal a few ideas. :bounce2:

It's not very clean... well maybe from 40'... I need to finish making some skins and put the hood that Dvandiver gave me on it....

Eric I'm likin the sami!! Need to bring that thing out my way so we can see what it can do!!
Yeah man drop me a line sometime.
Got the coils swapped out and new ricer air cleaner installed today. Still need to sit it down a few more inches but will wait to see how much the air shocks settle and the new coils settle.

well got back from the toy run. Had a great time. If anyone missed it you should go. Got to meet alot of folks off the board and support a great cause. Discovered I need a new fuel pump since the new OEM bosch one I put on a few months ago is getting so weak I can't stand the rig up and it pump fuel to the carb. Guess I'll be going propane sooner than I thought. Otherwise this thing works great, better than I hoped. I can really beat it and it doesn't seem to care. I crawls really well for the size tire it's got and seems to pull just fine in Hi range between obstacles. On pull cable it did great till the pump crapped out. super stable, tons of flex and went up the rocks fine once I got a little seat time. For sure on my list, 1)swap in my suspension seats, 2)GM alt upgrade, 3)high output compact sypdertrax steering pump over my ford pump, 4)winch install, 5) beadlocks, 6)some kind of brk mastercyc upgrade.

My buddy Hareball's buggy working pull cable. He didn't have any problems till he started overheating. What fun would it be if everything went perfect.

almost out, I was very happy to get out under my own power, ran fine after I got in nose down and on flat ground just felt a little weak.

Hey Ben hows the build going? Ever find a good motor? I'd like to go, if I can we will, Oct is going to be a busy month for me and the family. We are thinkin of goin to Tellico in a few weeks, get with me and let me know.
As for the build got started on the winch mount today. Made a diff strap for the rear. Ordered the alt bracket yesterday. Dug the corbeau seats out of the corner of the basement. Hope to have a bunch done this weekend and pics up. My fuel pump should be here thursday, turns out the bosch pump had a lifetime warrenty, so I'm going to stick with it a little while longer cause I think the rust/crap from the factory tank may have gotten past the factory filter before I scrapped the tank and filter a couple months ago and went with a fuel cell and open filter. Still will throw some spare hose and a cheap electric pump into the tool bag just in case.

looks like its working pretty well. that pic of troy squirting the gas is priceless!

For your radius arm upper, are you running bushings on both ends, or a bushing and some sort of joint?

it is almost done, finishing up the little stuff right now.
i ended up building a new motor with bills help. i had a new head laying around and bill gave me a good short block, so i bought an EB kit with a cam and we put it together. it sounds real good with a new flowmaster.
i've been running it up and down the road for a couple weeks now tryin to get used to driving it. can't wait till i can get in the woods.

Works way better than I thought it would without any more dialing in, course done this a time or two now :flipoff2: . Tons of travel, stable, fun through the gravel. I think that may be my favorite picture with us driving up via Troy injection. :huggy:

I'm using QA1 hiem joints on both ends of my upper arm spaced with .250 spacers on each side the hiems. Works great, full trave with no issues, I plan to add a second upper on the d-side later, just didn't have time.

Very cool, so where are the pics on here... slacker. I bet that thing is pretty pimp and stout to with motor rebuild now plus lighter. Should be a whole new machine. We all got a laugh out of watching me this past weekend try to learn how to drive mine since all the seat time I had was going down the driveway and loading it. PM me if your interested in going in a couple weeks.
Try to get some winch pics up and pics of the new seats. etc. Got the pump swapped out today and started wiring in the backup electric pump.
