My frame has been sandblasted.. My initial thoughts were to put bed liner on the frame for abuse to come. I had stopped by my local auto paint supplier and I was informed that i wouldnt have to use a eching primer, just spray on the liner and that would be enough to seal it. I read the directions inside of the box and it sayes for best results use an eching primer... Does anybody have any best practices? Do I prime the effen thing or not? Help!

I have seen guys spray these liners before and usually if its a bed or a jeep tub they take it all the way down to bare metal for best results. If the frame is smooth I would scuff it with sand paper to give a good surface prep. Thats generally how any good paint or coating will adhere.

i would paint it with a good epoxy paint. Bedliner will be very messy and a PITA if you ever have to change anything on the frame or weld anything new.

had lots of  so excuse the typing... yeah, the jeep had lots of rust and actually it was down to bare metal on the driver's side. It was leaking everything and nothing was left. 20 years of abuse, sand blasting was the way. I decieded to use etching primer after the blasting until a final decision is made and i must say... It came out hella good! I even like the color, it's some baby shit green tint and NOT that I like baby shit, it just looks good.. I havent come up with a final decision on paint or liner.... Granted all the great advice but I have never seen a liner'd frame and I do like the idea... Fell free to comment some more. PUSA!

I used KBS coatings frame paint. Usually after blasting all you need to do is remove the sand residue, and paint. So, when do we get pics? Later, T.J.

Understandable and respected... Still giving it some thought, besides the welding of new items what would be the draw back? The selling points in my mind would be; minimal vibration, massive protection for rust and natures elements etc... I'll post some pics this weekend.. My blackberry took a shit and I need to xfer all my pictures to my pc.. I guess I should start a build page..
