Saw this washed up on shore - Outer Banks

Went to the Outer Banks last week. The weather was horrible and got very little fishing done. While out looking at the ocean to determine if we could keep a hook in the water my dad and I rode past a dead dolphin that had been washed up on shore during the night. It had been eaten on by a shark, and the birds were starting to feast.

Damn.....I bet that was a badass shark
 
WOW, the food chain in action aquatic style. The outer banks is such a cool place to see things like this.
 
I wonder what a dolphin steak taste like--with bacon Yummy!!!

Even after a shark has eaten half it's neck off...The dolphin still looks happy!:lol:
 
Looks like he took a hit right in the thoat. Now it looks like a Pez dispenser.
 
I called the stranded Dolphin line and talked to a lady, she said that the dolphin was probably dead before the shark took a bite. They were going to send someone out to take some tissue samples and record the location.
