Im in the market for a synthetic line for my xd9000i.

Who has the best deals, anyone local?
What length would work best for this winch and trail riding?
Do i need the abrasion guard?
Anything else anyone wants to add, im open to suggestions!

Thanks!

75 ft 3/8 or maybe 100ft, the longer you go the less efficnate the winch will be.
And yes by the guard.

For me, 85' has worked fine. DEFINITELY get a guard, you will regret getting rope if you don't get one, use it and keep it repaired and in good working order.

thanks guys.....anyone else got any advice? Who has the best deal? And any local NC vendors?

im pretty sure its just an overlay that goes around the rope that is able to slide over rocks, trees or whatever, to protect the synthetic line itself.

^^ yup, it's to protect the rope from rocks etc. Synthetic rope will break much easier if damaged. I've got Master pull Superline on mine. I think I got 100' of 3/8 line but I can't remember for sure. I've used it once...so far.

I have 2 10' sections on mine. one at the hook end, and another at the opposite end where the rope contacts the drum. Its supposed to help deal with the heat on the drum.

I went with rope from rock stomper several years ago and it is still being used without any issues.

Will be looking into some myself for the xd9000i I just got, hope it works, guy threw it in with the jeep but didn't have the remote so I am in need of getting one.
