Scrambler steering

i just replaced the power steering pump on my '81 Scrambler and now i found a leak in the the pressure hose. to replace that hose, do i need to drop the steering gear box? how tricky is that?

Because of the limited clearance between the bottom of the radiator and box its alot easier to drop the box and intall the hose. You can do it with it in place, but a real pain and easy to strip a thread if you are not carefull.

I have found it easier to pull the radiator, than to drop the box.

yo! i ended up removing the radiator and that worked great. thanks for the advice!
