HOLLY RAT ROD BAT MAN

WOW, guess that is a rat rod. Looks like late 20s- early 30s, who knows what. Wondering if that open top, is something would have been in a panel truck?

lol that open top is something that allows his big ass to get inside that lil bitty car!

I've seen it in Clemmons a lot, looks like a 32-34 ford and a lot of other parts. They gather at a Pizza joint a lot.

Seen it alot in Kernersville, theres a few other old rat rods he is always with. Thing is badass.

I love Street Rods, but I just don't care for the whole rat rod thing.
I'm with ya, I see some of these in mocksville and yadkinville but they are pick-ups. I have been kickin around strechin a cj and droppin it to the ground I seen some pics of one started a few years back and it looked bad azz.

those are olds valve covers on a small block chevrolet engine. they are covering the chevy valve covers.

^^^This

There's an article in one of my latest hot rod mags about this. Poseurs ripping off every junkyard for valve covers and air cleaner covers and leaving the engines, which were presumably full of good parts, to rust into boat anchors. That's what happens when everybody and their uncle "has to build a rat rod." There's a lot of irreplacable cars and irreplaceable parts that have been destroyed by this craze. I don't mind one that's well-done, with period correct parts and techniques, but building one because you're simply too lazy to paint is just wrong.

Not for me. I like nice things.
