Any body on here ever sell any cars on E-bay?

I have a Mustang I am thinking about selling. It looks like I can get a little more for it on E-bay but I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble.

I haven't read through all of the rules for selling cars on there. I am sure there is more to it than selling the junk I usually sell on there.

I am curious about the "non refundable deposit" that I see on a lot of the auctions, and how E-bay regulates the sale and whats owed to them after the sale, since the sale will most likely be finalized in person with cash. Also how it's handled with tax claims for the end of the year.

Any input is appreciated.

i am no experience w/ this and nothing to add except... I see no reason why taxes would be involved at all? unless this is a business deal, its just like selling a any other traditional way.

I've sold a few cars and a wakeboard boat via EBay, the non refundable blah blah is garbage. eBay charges a fee and that's it if you use the auction. If you sell it locally through eBay, you can list it for free. I've had good experiences selling through eBay. Why not use Craigslist?
