Got some front spring hangers coming to do this with, using shackles from a j-10. 40.00 in parts any one else done this and not buy a kit.
Weld the front hangers and bolt on the rear. What ya'll think

I made my Spring hangers and Shakle mounts from 6" C-channel. Shackle hanger mount was easy, I cut a piece of the C-channel and welded it to the frame with the flat side down. then bolted the Shackle hanger to the mount. I had to sandwich a shim between the shackle hanger and th mount to allow the shackle to clear the mount.

The Spring hanger was a bit more involved, but you ordered one so no need to explain that.

I bought mine and had it welded in. just wanted to say that I like the increase of aproach angle and drivability on the street

Got one side done tonight at work. The j-10 shackles may be too short got some from a chevy truck coming monday, I'll see how they do.

Got any pics, not liking how mine is going. Spring too high in front too low in rear.

Couldn't find his posts here... but here's the chronicle from the SWB section at ORC:

Blue Bitch Lives (notice the date... may want to wait until it's been on a trail and not just "off road" :shaking: )
