shifting into 4hi in reverse.

The manual with my 08 fj cruiser says to shift into 4hi, you must me going under 50 mph and not to do it while the wheels are spinning. It doesn't specify if it acceptable to do it while moving in reverse. Anyone know if this is ok?

I don't know why not, but try it now before it goes out of warranty, just in case. And I don't recomend doing 50 in reverse. The steering gets kinda crazy...

my heep will only do 40 in reverse

try 40 and a quick full steering wheel lock turn.

it won't actually do 40, more like 30ish, and turning the wheel like that is hella fun, don't you see it done in the movies all the time? If you want to try, i suggest gravel to get the motions down.
