So I have a potential buyer for my old lift kit who needs it shipped. I had a quote from someone else who wanted it in Cali and it was over $300. So I was wondering if it would be any cheaper to ship it using a freight company like ABF or something. I am waiting for a his email with the shipping address but its still probably going to be expensive because of all the boxes and weight.

I've *heard* about using Greyhound, but never looked into it.

yep, forward air is by far the cheapest. it's just terminal to terminal though, so make sure there's one near the buyer. we have one right near the airport.

truck freight is nice because they can drop it in your driveway and you dont have to go anywhere to pick it up, but you also pay for that convenience.... i deal with it everyday shipping husqvarna mowers

The guy is in NJ and said I can ship it to either a residence or business. The reason I was thinking truck freight was because i thought it was cheaper.

It cost me $100 to have an axle shipped to me from Washington state using Forward Air. Nobody could compete with that price when I looked into it.

another vote for Foward Air, (if its convient for both parties to get to the terminal) had my 60 housing sent down from NY, and the Krawlers came from CA, both via Forward Air. seems they were both about $120.
