I am in need of some new shocks for my 82 toy. It has the stock springs and some 2-3 inch longer than stock shackles. The truck is not capable of moving itself currently and probably won't be able to for another month or so. I don't have the ability right now to flex the suspension to measure for shock length.
Does anyone have any idea of what length shock i would need? Compressed and extended length would be helpful. I know the factory length shocks will not work, they were completely extended with the longer shackles.
I plan to wheel the truck with this setup for a year or so before going to rears up front and chevys out back. Is there any chance of me being able to use the same shocks, or am i destined to buy two different sets?
Thanks in advance for the help.
