Shop referral in Shelby, Kings Mountain, Gastonia, Grover?

My dad has a 1975 J10 and something is wrong with the transmission and/or transfer case. They both might need to be rebuilt. The carb also needs adjusting. Since I'm in Boone I don't have the time to do it, plus he needs it back pretty quick. Anybody know of a decent shop around the Shelby, Kings Mountain, Gastonia, Grover area. Gastonia is about the farthest we want to drive it because it may or may not make it there. Thanks!

Check out Hwy 74 imports in Kings Mountain. Sam (the owner) does pretty good work. He's the only mechanic my dad will trust in the area. Don't let the "imports" in the name fool you. He works on all vehicles.
