I assume you mean a racing style harness with two belts going over your shoulders. If so, then the answer is no. Not unless you want to cut a hole through your seats at about shoulder height.

Doubt you'll find anything.. you should really go with a seat designed for harnesses if you're gonna run 'em, or at the very least, a seat with a flat top to it...

Even if you were to cut a hole, you need a frame just under that to prevent the belts from crushing your spine.

This isn't really something to just be slapped in..

Yeah, I wasn't condoning cutting the seat. I do agree that he should get a seat designed for harnesses.

I agree that there should never be shortcuts when it comes to safety, but for what MOST of us do...is there really a danger with harnesses and spinal compression?

I mean Ive rolled a rig or 2 but never ahd any major forces (i.e speed) to the equation...

I 100% agree that in all forms of racing proper harness design and placement is key, but with a rock rig the big thing to me is just to keep you in the seat when you go oil side up

I can't predict whether I'm gonna take an easy flop, or a Real TV-worthy 4 roll with a half twist off the side of the hill...

Here's another side of it.. if you weigh 200 pounds and take a good endo, I'd bet you land with 2G's or so of force.. 400lbs pressing on you.

This is an eternal debate about how well a rig needs to be built, and it certainly won't be ended here... it's pretty obvious where I stand on the matter just by looking at my junk.

Never heard ANYONE say "Man, I wish I bought cheaper safety gear" after a crash/roll/flop though. Besides, my Corbeau's are cooooomfy!

thanks guys i was thinking i would have to buy seats but just thought i would ask to see what others opinions were

Point taken.
But since I am not 200 but oh say...260 I should have much less impact force right? More cushion?

I know I really need to get around to upgrading my restraints, stock seats and belts are weak...

1 honest reason i havnt is finding a restraint seat made for a FAT ASS is not an easy chore, corbeau used to make a wide option (I had in my first hot rod) but according to their web site it is no longer offered....

QUOTE FROM LINK

The Baja Ultra SS will fit up to a 36-38" waist, the Wide version is 1" wider and will fit up to a 40-42 " waist

OK so my 44" fat ass is still squeezed....

Instead of a custom seat maybe a few sit ups are in order?

and before you post it the forza II would look a little out of place in a trail rig

The forza II looks pretty good.....I'm only 300 lbs, but I appreciate a comfy, safe seat!:D
