Ok, so i got a wild hair up my butt and decided to drop the 3 inch body lift on the taco, which leaves me with around 5.5 inches of lift total with the sas. The stance is great now, and so far im loving it. But, with all good things, come the bad things. Since my t-case is clocked and the shifter was modded, i had to cut a "few" holes in my floorboard to clear the t-case and shifter linkage. Before i start rebuilding my tranny tunnel I wanted to see what others had done. Where did you get your sheetmetal? What thickness would you guys use for floorboard? What method did you guys use to attach your stuff?(weld, sheetmetal screws, pop rivets, etc.)

Thanks
Josh

I saw where one guy had used a transmission pan off a T-350 or something and used it for a starting point. Already has the nice rounded corners, you'll just need to add the sheetmetal inbetween to make it the correct width and height.

I just finished this one up. It is in a '53 willys wagon and also includes new floors. The shifters will be cut through once the drivetrain is reinstalled. Planning on just attaching boots for the tcase and then screwing a cable shifter for the tranny to the top. After everything is rhino lined.:huggy:
This is made from left over sheet metal thanks to a ricer running into an outdoor cabinet so it is heavier than I would pay for. I think something like 12 or 14 gauge. I would pay for 16 gauge if I didn't get all this heavy stuff for free.
