Sign of the times.

Damn, its been about 7yrs since I've been out there. What the hell is left open? Can you still go from Corrolla up to the VA line? What about Ocracoke? I'm all for preservation and all but this is more ridiculous than Tellico:kaioken: I could go on about this stuff for days......

I love going to the Cape and riding on the beach. We go about twice a year, and the last couple years we have had to plan our trips around what will be open. I'm all for turtles and birds but come on!!

I'm all for saving animals whether it be birds, turtles, or some other animal, but, to close down large chunks of land to any kind of traffic to save them is ridiculous. All over the country this kind of thing is happening when I lived in South Dakota people were bitching about the OHV community and that all the trails needed to be closed because of some rare moss that grows in one tiny area. I was part of the "South Dakota Off Highway Vehicle Coalition" (SDOHVC) and we went to all kinds of meetings where it was Wheelers against tree huger and we were in constant battle with what seemed like everyone. Is there a similar organization for NC?
