I need to have some 19.5 tires siped. Any one have any experience running siped tires or know where to have it done?

know anybody that races dirt track? my BFG's are siped, but were like that when I bought them...

I siped some boggers one time (it didn't help) took an old blade from the groover, cut the "U" off the bottom, then ran it across the treads... it worked REALLY fast.

on the BFG's it looks as though they had a groover set up with 5-6 blades (similar to a guard on a hair trimmer) and ran across the tire..

If using the "Ideal" $60 groover you just flipped the blades, didn't need to cut 'em.

I wonder how bad the harder rubber on 19.5's is gonna make it hard to sipe. leave 'em in the sun!

If you decide to do it yourself, I've got a groover. You would need to buy some skinny blades though.

If this was a trail rig, I wouldn't hesitate to do it myself. But I'd rather pay some one to professionally sipe them on a vehicle that I regularly tow with. Anywhere to have it done, around Hickory or Charlotte?

not sure if it's different for the 19.5's...but Discount Tire does it for $10/tire...

you don't get big grooves, but rather lots of razor thin cuts...
