who has what, and who has switched cause they liked one better than the other? I am an alt rock and grunge guy at heart, I will always live and die by bands liek the foo fighters, nirvana, pearl jam, stp, ect. I like everything, but I love 90's rock. Hardcore is cool too. I listen to the race and most acc games on radio too, which might be a deal breaker for sirius cause I didnt see the ACC listed for coverage. So who likes what and why?

Well it looks like XM will be a thing of the past soon, so everyone will have Sirius :)

I have sirius and love it. 90's alternative, 1st wave, hard attack, faction, punk, backspin and blue collar are all preset for me.

Sirius is for you then

I have it, really like it... only issue is if you listen to one station over and over, you hear the same song lineups over and over... I when i use to travel alot for work, i got to the point where i could tell you what song was next....

Sirius is for you. I have XM and listen to Sirius at work. Lithium 24 is the channel you want. It has a way better lineup for your (and my) kind of music. I can't break away from XM though. I'd miss Opie and Anthony way too much. If I was to go with Sirius, I'd be stuck with Howard Stern.:poop:

i have xm in my jeep...but i work at a ford place in the summer and they all have sirius, and i like it better. my xm is free though from my grandfather for a xmas present he pays the tab on it

The speculation is that they will use XMs satelites exclusively based upon technology, upgrades and placement.
If that holds true, the existing XM receivers will continue to work, while the sirius units will have to be replaced.

I've had XM for 4-5 years now, and want to switch to Sirius for NFL and NASCAR , but have held off for that reason.

the only think holding me back is that when I comission into the AF in May, I will most likely be going to Texas for NAV/EWO school and I still want to catch the ACC games... I have listened to Sirius and like it better though. Might just get it and hope that I cna catch the games on TV

Used to have XM. Sirius is better.

Another Sirius customer here.

Started with xm cause my truck came with a car set up. Then listened to sirus at work and liked their choices better. So now i have been with sirus for a few years now, I hate to hear i might have to change hardware if the merger happens.
