Picked this up to replace the traded in Explorer. Its a 93 vw Carrado vr6. I'm getting 26 mpg and its a blast to drive. The trans needs a little tlc so its going to Lee at TLC transmissions. We are going to change out 5th gear to get better milage.

Is that the 4x4 model??!! Lower that puppy, son! What are you getting the 5th gear out of? A diesel? It looks nice. I'd love to take a spin in it some time!

A gl has a taller 5th gear. At 70 I turns 3250 rpms

Awsome car. Let me know when the coil/ignition module takes a shit on you and I will show you how to upgrade to the gm waste spark coils. Also when the water transfer pipe across the front of the block starts leaking I have an extra brand new billet one to replace the plastic junk thats on there. I have had several VR6 cars. If you have any questions let me know.

All the hoses and the ign has been replaced. The guy I bought it from is the local vw guru and it is one of the best maintained used cars I have ever bought....

Super Swanky! Enjoy it, not many of them around any more!
I used to drive a 16v Scirocco that had been run in SCCA stuff and barely turned back ito a street car, Hi compression, full cage, lowered struts, the works. Loved dusting 5.0 Mustangs with it and then never touch the brakes when you went around a sharp corner! Scared girls to death.
