Local dealerships been trying to buy my truck nothing special a 18 250 22000 miles with the 6.2 gas burner for a while. Well being that I’ve already owned 1 and helped rebuild a couple very high in mileage I decided I was going to keep this truck for a while. So I decided I’d put a flat bed on it and make it work for me. Local c and m dealer really helps me out and hooked me up with a great flat bed that has the b&w flip over ball hooked up to the trailer and took it for a spin last night really pleased how it all turned out.

Nice! Good clean late model vehicles, are at a Premium right now, due to the shortage of New vehicles. But still, If you sell, What & how much will a New or replacement cost you? Unless you have a lemon, or Really need to sell, there's No Bargain in it!

Yep the family talked about getting new vehicles but the dealerships either can’t get it or they are charging anywhere from 5 to 8grand over Msrp just doesn’t make since.

Nice. I have the same bed on my truck since January and am pleased with it.

You out any boxes on yours? I measured everything several times and I’m pretty sure I can get away with a couple of uws or weatherguard top mount boxes.

I put a pair of 36" undermount boxes on mine. Not sure how much room you will have with a short wheelbase truck though.

I put a single 24" buyer's products box under my truck on the passenger side. Hangers bolted to the frame of the truck, fits perfect between the cab and the rear spring hanger. Holds straps, a few spares like filters, and OTR tools. It's perfect for me.

I ended up going with the Crescent/Jobox brand ones. Local place in Charlotte had the 36" ones for $250/ea and in stock.
Amazon product ASIN B08DM83DPT
They are extremely well built for an off-the-shelf box. The seal is much wider and thicker than the others I looked at, and they have a rain gutter design so everything will generally stay dry even if the seal is compromised. Also, they were the only ones I could find with a 3 point lock instead of 1 flimsy locking tab at the handle.

Building the brackets was a bit of a pain because the spring was in the way, but you won't have that issue with top mount boxes.

There's also a piece of diagonal bar stock at a 45 degree angle on front and back of each bracket tied into the frame. I love having the boxes on the underside and removable sides on the truck so I can load junk from the side.
