So, my In-law's Ram has cancer

While I was replacing the steel brake line on the my father-in-law's '99 Ram, I discovered the floor pans are eaten up with rust. It's so bad that the wire loom under the carpet is exposed and the front seat mounts have completely broken free. I've been looking for replacement floor pans but all I can find seem to be half panels (from tunnel side about half way to rocker). It seems that full panels may need to be fabricated but I'm not a sheet metal guy so this is not a project I think I should tackle on someone else's vehicle. Any suggestions on where I might find full floor panels or someone who does this kind of work.

If he feels the 99 ram is worth the time/investment, and you feel like a floor replacement is where it will stop, I would keep an eye on Craigslist for someone parting out a 94-99(?) Ram. Head over there with a battery operated sawzaw and grinder and cut the whole floor out as a donor. Better yet, if you have the means, grab the whole cab, bring it home and cut out exactly what you need.

I would say with all the rust free Rams available in the South, unless there is some intense sentimental attacent, part the ram and buy a new one....if the floor is that bad you will be surprised/depressed at how far it spreads once you get in there to fix it.

Up north, vehicles over 15 years old aren't even titled, the assumption is they don't have enough value to title due to rust.

Unfortunately he bought it relatively recently. Other than the body rust the rest of the truck is in great shape. Thanks for the idea, I hadn't even considered cutting up a Craigslist/JY ram for what we need.
