So after flipping the jeep this summer in Uwharrie and breaking my leg in 2 places, I decided since I wouldnt be driving it anytime soon, that I would build her up a bit more. Alex and John at Carolina Truggies finished her up Saturday. They did some awesome work, always do and I highly recommend them. Its a front HP44 5.38s and a lock-rite with shackle reversal and custom steering, Rear 9 inch with 5.38s and a mini-spool. Custom front and rear shock mounts. The rear is stretched about 5.5 inches and the front between 1 and 2 inches for a total 104" WB for now. 40" IROK bias and generic black wheels. I love it and couldnt be happier with it! Next stage will be full cage, chromo everything, Atlas and beadlocks. No wheeling pics yet, but hope to change that after this weekend!

Nice! It looks really sharp, nice build.

That is a good looking rear axle! Did it work out alright for you? Keep the progress pictures coming!

that is a nice looking jeep! just out of curiosity do you have any interference between that front right leaf spring and the drag link?

Thanks for the complements guys! Yes, cage should have been priority, but had already ordered parts and ran out of cash. The rear axle seems to be working out great! Just a small leak, but it just needs a new seal. I actually dont have any rubbing on the spring even at full stuff surprisingly. Im thinking I eventually want to stretch it a bit more, what do you guys think?

Rear 9 inch with 5.38s and a mini-spool.
I highly recommend getting a full spool for the 9". You WILL brake the center pin with a mini, especially with 4ds. Just my 2 cents.
P.S. Looks good anyway.
This was with 37s....

Looks good. What springs are you using? I would def do crossover steering with that setup. I think you would find it will drive much much better. Itll get rid of the bumpsteer.

Thats a good point about the mini-spool. Ill def keep a full spool in mind, but I eventually want to get another detroit. Im using generic (rancho i think) 1.5" lift springs up front and xj's in the rear. There's virtually no bumpsteer now, but I may eventually go crossover. The steering was setup and done very well....not even using a steering stabilizer.
