Im down in the land of money, sun, and exotic cars for work.

Driving around you see everything from ZR1 'vettes to Bentleys, and everything in between, and these caught my eye...

There used to be one in the Oak Valley development in Advance. You could see it in the driveway from 601.

I'd like to say they only made them for a year or two.

I have a customer in Midland that made the mistake of fixing one for a customer. Word got out and he has to turn them away now. They are comming out of the woodwork. Too many foriegn parts that were crap to begin with.

Florida

There is a company that bought DMC and all the parts/molds. They have been restoring and selling them for a few years now.

I remember seeing something about that. Seems like they purchased a warehouse full of NOS parts. Practically enough to build "new" cars from.

Unbreakable's Grandpaw has a Brickland......chillin in the upper side of the shop. Maybe one day we will get it out and roast some tires.

Actually I remember watching a dateline or 20/20 or the like that did a story on the company that bought them. You can get a brand new 1983 DeLorean. They are building them and fixing them.

My grandpa had one of these for years, along with a whole collection of other classics...

This was his:

It was a bit dusty in that picture.

Here's a shot down the garage:

Sorry for the terrible picture, but anybody remember these?:

Hint: It was made in 1967. My grandpa bought this example for $1200 brand new in 1968. :D

^^Amphicar.

who is your grandpa? jay leno?

Haha not quite! You're from Winston so you might know actually. You old enough to remember Piedmont Airlines?

looks like it could be thats a load of nice cars

Thanks! It was one of my grandpas hobbies, he loved his cars! He passed away a year ago today. Those were his classic cars. He kept most of the modern stuff at his house.

Haha I dunno if I should show more pictures or not? :D

L>R: Lexus LS460, Bentley Turbo R, Prius, and Cadillac SRX.

He had others at his other house, but really on average he'd buy two or three new cars a year, so his collection was always changing. Those classics, as well as his Corvette, the NSX, and that Jag XK8 were really the only cars he hung onto for a long period of time!

lol, sorry for the thread jack!

lol..the prius is an odd addition to the collection.

Hahaa, yea he was one to own the most random bunch of cars! He had EVERYTHING over the years... He had a V12 BMW, a Ferrari, a Supra, a Plymouth Prowler, that twin turbo Bentley, and he had numerous Porsche's and Vette's. He went through literally hundreds of cars.

Then he had the oddball stuff like the Prius, a 1912 Model T Speedster (his car set a land speed record in its day) that Amphicar, a Model T woody wagon, a 1915 Electric car, a BMW Isetta, the 1903 Oldsmobile, the Delorean, a 75' Cadillac Elderado convertible with a rumble seat (It was one of 10 in the world), shoot, he even had a london taxicab! haha!

As I'm sure you can imagine, it was always fun goin to see grandpa at Christmas! :D Plus he was always cool about his stuff. If you were licensed to drive, he'd hand you the keys to anything you wanted to drive! :) He was really a neat guy!

Miss him lots to be honest! :(
