Aparently there are folks in NC that think I'm special enough, they want me to come back and provide another autograph.
Warren County in particular seems to be seeking my signature.

Same story as the T, looksing for recs for a stand-in - yes I love NC but sorry Warren County, you're not getting a personal visit this time.

Best part is that I get to test just how inter-connected the state records are now, since I'm a few months shy of living down a PB&J served complimentary from the People's Republic of Maryland.

Not very. I got, and paid off, a speeding ticket in SC. Three years later, i got a letter from NC stating that my license had been suspended for six months, starting from the date on the ticket.

I got a ticket in VA like 2.5yrs ago, all the lawyers I talked with pretty much turned me away (NC & VA), said just take the insurance hit. Apparently there is a fairly new legislation that prevents the typical plea bargaining, etc. Anyways, I pled guilty by mail, it was on my NC record when my insurance renewal came up.
I doubt that helps you out much, I hope for you NC doens't feed their info into the system. Seems well worth your while to follow-up with an NC lawyer. It always surprised me that NC wasnt finding out about my out of state activities in the '90s and early 2000s, my VA ticket was the first one.

PB&J? what the fuck

Got a bullshit 14 over ticket in SC about 8 years ago in SC where the hwy goes from 65 to 50 around bennettsville. Never paid it and never have heard another thing about it since. Insurance, Alabama DMV, NC dmv, and even the military background check didn't see it. Weird.

Wait until you renew your license...thats when you'll eat these words.

I got myself a ..ummm...well...lets just say it was a ''being a silly 18 year old at the beach ticket'' when I was 18. My SC license were suspended for years, because I never paid the $300 fine. I just never worried about it.

Well cut to just about 3 years ago...I went to renew my license and low and behold, I have to pay the SC fine before I can get a renewal.

The ''non vehicular infraction'' that occured nearly 16 years before, was now coming back to haunt me.

When I asked the DMV gal, she said you can thank ''9-11'' and the Patriot act. All info will be shared with all states from now on. All outstanding tickets and/or fines from other states will now have to be paid before you can get a new license.

Heres to Bin Laden and the Myrtle Beach po po:fuck-you:

ok whatcha do?

only send in part of part of the fine, it never hits your record. but you will always have a bill for the rest on your record with the state.

as automated and interconnected all the registatration and crap is getting, that loophole may not even be around anymore.

It took Ohio 4 years to suspend my SC driver's license for 102 in a 65...but they did suspend them

Well this was before 9/11 and the patriot act. I've got a license in another state, got it in NC again, lost it in NC for stupidity, got it back, then lost it and got another which I have online reordered a copy of twice now and still nothing. I'm not holding my breath. :flipoff2:

OK nobody ever actually answered the question (or request), recs for a traffic lawyer for Warren County...

I got 2 letters in teh mail but my beloved wife threw them away when cleaning :-(

Just call the local Chamber of Commerce. They should be able to give you a list of lawyers in the area.

I got my last big ticket a few years ago. I was living in Georgia at the time, but driving with an SC license. Got pulled over doing 80 in a 35 (yes... 45mph over the limit). It was a farm town that snuck up on me, while driving through a cotton field in middle-of-nowhere. That's no excuse though. $350 ticket & 6 points, and none of the local lawyers would take me on as a client.

Few months later I got a letter that my SC license was suspended. I surrendered my licencse and paid a small fine (by mail), as ordered. The next day I went to my local DMV and got a GA license. No questions asked, no fines or fees. If I had stayed in Georgia till the ticket fell of my record, my insurance never would have picked it up. Silly me... I moved to NC and changed insurance companies a year later. It finally caught up to me then, and Im still paying for it. Lesson learned.

you're welcome !!

Funny guy

that's actually exactly what I did about 5 hrs ago, picked one of them out of a hat.
Dude's fee "discounted for finding via the internet" fee (just him, not counting the court etc) is $200. I haven't been through this too many times and it's been awhile but that sems pretty steep to me. I thought in the past this had cost me around $250 total or so

it's one thing to just pick some guy at random, it's something else to have somebody say "hey I used this guy and it was a good deal" etc.

200 bones just to drop by the courthouse and chat w/ the DA for 5 mins, that should be friggin criminal.

well, it cost me $450 to get out of a 74 in a 55 ticket in Aug 2008. if I went before the DA/judge and didn't get it reduced, or a PJC, it ment I would be looking for another job. to me, it was well worth the price, and the 3point insurance hit would have been 3x that for three years ( or more)

I got out with improper equipment, and no points.

hmm, come to think of it, if I had lost my job, I'd still have my finger......

200 sounds a little steep, I usually get the lawyer for $100-$150, the driving class is $65 and court fees are like just over $100. This reminds me, I have my own award I have yet to accept, better get me some representaion.

This was a nice "casual" 12 over, no biggie.

She said court costs just went up to $130?

Come on, Dr... You of all people should know that you're not paying for his current time.. you're paying for all the time it took to get him where he is today!

I used to think medical providers (MD's & PhD's) were overpaid too, 'till I had to live with one who turned 30 and still wasn't licensed, didn't have $1 in their retirement, etc.., etc..
