I am in need of a shop that can do a speed calibration on a 03 wrangler after a lift and tires. The closer it is to Morehead City, the better, but I am willing to travel to have this done. Anyone out this way have any suggestions?

As long as the TJ isn't a rubicon, then the speedo is driven off of a gear that plugs into the rear tailshaft housing on the transfer case and is held on by one bolt and can be easily installed in ten minutes. No calibration via the computer or anything, just have to figure which one you need and order it.

It is pretty easy to correct the speedo on Jeeps with the 231/241 transfer case.

Step 1: Go here - http://www.jeeptech.com/javaAps/Speedo.html And enter your new tire size and ring & pinion ratio.

Step 2: Buy the recommended speedometer gear

Step 3: Install it, which is actually pretty easy.

I can go into greater detail on changing the gear if you need the info.

Interesting. That looks to be fairly easy. It is not a rubicon. I will look into it. Thanks guys!
On edit: Where would I find what gear set I have? It is a 2003 sport edition.

It *may* be on a tag on the rear differential cover if no one has removed it along the way. Otherwise, you can lift the tires and try to count how many revolutions the driveshaft turns in one revolution of the tires. Or you can go here:

You can contact Jeep directly from this link and using your VIN you can request a build sheet that will list all factory equipment.
