Spicer U-Joint

Axle joint or driveshaft joint? I have both at the shop and I will be in working Sunday morning.

Call me at the shop between 9-11

Yeah, I have been up there before......sounds like a good time. I just talked to Greg......talk to you manana

I will grab a couple snap shots tomorrow when he comes by to get her back up and running........sounds like it was a fun roll, completely belly up.

Greg will probably post some pics tonight when he gets in.

Andy

Please do Andy. Although I have a feeling you are right and pics will be posted within 30 seconds of him hitting the front door. ;)

Axle. Dave rolled Greg's today. Have you ever been to Crozet.

figured somebody's big mouth got to Andy, which is why he called me tonight...:D

It'll take awhile to upload the 433 pics, so I'll post a couple completely unrelated to a Spicer U-Joint here for your viewing pleasure...

while I decided that the best way out of this position:

...was to drive forward...

...was to actually just keep on driving forward...

...was to back up so the oil pressure wasn't reading 0 anymore...

no real significant damage...bent both doors a little, which we fixed by driving over them with the dually...scratched the hood...broke the hood latches...bent the fenders in a "little" more (time for some tube protection)...and dumped the oil out through the air filter...oh, and bent my front bumper a little...

it was 2 hours before we planned on leaving, so we just pulled it back to the trailer, winched it on, and I jumped in Stewart's TJ to keep on wheelin'...

the oil on the fenders and the ratchet strap make it really look a lot worse than it is:

figure we pull the plugs, get the oil out, fill it back up, beat on the fenders, replace the latches, and it's good to go...

:D

I am glad everyone is OK. So how are you gonna turn this into an upgrade Greg?

you'll probably see some more tubing...plus a new front bumper...:(

not sure there will be a whole lot more upgrading right now...

I gotta fix it for Harlan in August and Tellico sometime after that...but then I'll take ~5-6 months off for the baby that's due in November...so time and money will be in short supply...

I hear ya on the money and time thing. Good luck with it and hope to see some pics soon. :)

Tube + front bumper = Front tube bumper. ;)

any video footage?

I don't think so...there were about 5-6 of us around, but only still shots...

it went over towards the driver's side, bounced off a tree, and then onto it's lid...the bounce took some of the force away from the fall...

Greg

Nice pics! Glad everybodys OK.
