Hey all,

As some of you might know, the evils of cancer have hit my family very hard in the past year. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer about 10 months ago and underwent a double mastectomy. However, she has recovered very well so far.

Secondly, and the reason for this thread, is my 17 year old cousin was diagnosed with Leukemia about 4 weeks ago. It could not have happened to a happier, full of life kid. He has been undergoing chemotherapy at UNC and was just allowed to come home for a few days yesterday, then he goes back for another round next week. Thankfully, he is responding well so far.

In response, I have tried to do my part in supporting my family and others fighting cancer. This past fall I donated 11 inches of hair to locks of love, and this coming March 8th I will be shaving my head in honor of my cousin and to raise donations for St. Baldricks.

It would be deeply appreciated if any of you would be willing to sponsor me OR get involved yourself! No donation is too small or big. You can donate via the website, by phone, or I will be happy to accept paypal, checks, or cash in my name to pass along. PRAYERS are definitely needed as well!

Below is the link to my section on their site. My name is Ivan Sealey and my cousin's name is Ethan Aliff. I never put my hand out for anything, but this is personal and I feel like it's a worthy cause! Thanks in advance!

Ivan

P.S.- Feel free to pass this along to any friends, family, co workers, etc.

Ethan is my next door neighbor, and like Ivan said, He is full of life, one of the happiest and nicest people I know, and has his whole life in front of him. I ask you all to donate to St. Baldrick's Foundation, in the form of hair or currency, to help support the fight against Kids Cancer.

My mom hit 30 years last summer. 1977. :)

I lost my brother to cancer in 1981. :(

I lost my father in 2006, to a disease that is related to leukemia. :(

Supporting cancer research IS important.

ttt, tomorrow morning is the deadline for sponsorship donations. thanks!

Sorry to say it Ivan but I am running a bit late. Can donations still be accepted after the deadline? I am still waiting for paypal to confirm the withdrawl from my account that I was going to send to Baryn on behalf of WebWheeling.

thanks joel! donations CAN be accepted after the deadline if you're definitely giving one and i know the amount. i just submit it as a cash donation and they'll all be processed on my debit card tomorrow. donations can also certainly be made directly to st. baldricks at any time, just not for this particular event.

so, if you'll pm me the following info i'll get it posted:

1. the donation amount

2. what name you'd like to appear on the donations list (your name, webwheeling, etc.)

3. your mailing address

also, you can send it directly to my paypal from yours if you'd rather vs. giving it to baryn. either way. thanks again!

PM me your paypal address and expect two donations from WebWheeling. One from Baryn and one from me.

you should have one from me earlier. it's really great of you to do this ivan. i'm behind you 100%. i hope the little bit i can contribute can help in some way.

i posted one on my donations site. it's a silly pose from 12 hours of driving, but you get the idea. :flipoff2: i'm on a cross country trip at the moment, i'll get some better ones when i get a chance though.
