Alright guys just gettin a few things together to start planning for the big Rockvember event in November...Just a couple of quick questions for you guys though...Are there any specific things that you would like to happen that didn't last year or things change from wht did happen last year? Another good question is the concert...We've had a couple suggestions of doing a comedian instead of a concert...would you like that or rather hear a band? and If you like the band idea, would you like the same group of get a different one? Thanks for any of your input!!

Why not do the comedian and have someone DJ? Setup a laptop to store and play the music and run it through the sound system. People can request music and even load it onto the puter if needed? I need to attend this event. I had my 3rd back sugery last november so I could not attend.

I really enjoyed the event last year. I would get the same band or something equivilent as I thought they were great last year. I would not waiste my time on comedian as there was enought of that just riding / hanging around in my opinion. Looking forward to attending again this year

The same band has it set on there calenders for us again this year...They would love to come back and said they had never done an event like ours...I definately learned alot last year on things that did and did not need to happen and I also feel the band didn't get the time they deserved to play!!...There will be a specific time this year set for the band that will not conflict with anything else going on...A full concert...thumbs up from everyone for the same band or would you guys suggest getting a different group?

Need some help guys... I see people looking at the post but need some suggestions!! What will make this trip worth it for you?

More vendors, more giveaways, and more rigs, more trail time.

I'd suggest Sunny Ledfurd as a great band for the event.

And exclude sponsors from entering the raffles. Didn't the wife of the 4 Wheel parts owner walk away with a bunch of prizes last year?

I really really hate Im going to miss this, this year.

going to be going back to afghanistan in september yeepee....:poop::shaking:

Yea BUT she deserved it like anyone else!! She paid for everyone of her raffle tickets just like everyone else did which only makes it fair right? However, We WILL be having more vendors, We HOPEFULLY will be having more raffles which will be broken up better durring the event, we WILL be having more trail time as well!! I'm with you, I didn't think we did enough trails last year either!!

yeah. I see your point. When I was out there (I could have maybe had a few drinks in me) jonesin for the OBA kit and a lady that can walk into 4WP and pick up anything she wants wins that and like 3 other things, I got frustrated. :bounce2:

Basic details would help for me, when? where? who is putting this on? and so on

OK FINALLY the BIG NEWS is here!!
Southeast Custom 4x4 will be hosting the 1st Annual Rockvember 4x4 Benefit Bash November 6-8, 2009, presented by 4x4Cross Racing, at the Uwharrie Stables located at the Uwharrie National Forest in Troy, NC. Most importantly, this will be a benefit meet for Operation Home Front. Operation Home Front provides emergency and morale assistance for our troops, the families they leave behind, and for the wounded warriors when they return home. There will be a $20 donation fee per person at registration with the proceeds going to the benefit. Your $20 donation will also cover your whole weekend of fun! What better way to have a large off road event then to do it for such a great cause!! At time of registration, you will be given a rubber wrist band that gets you access to all the weekend events, your raffle tickets for the free sponsor raffles, and also your off road trail pass for Saturday!

Now the good stuff!!

Southeast Custom 4x4 sponsored by Rick Hendrick Toyota of Fayetteville, NC will be renting the ENTIRE off-road park with Uwharrie Adventures for the whole weekend. The off road park is at the Uwharrie Stables located across from the Uwharrie National Forest Off-Road Trails. We also have a HUGE free group camping area where everyone will be staying for the weekend behind the stables joining the off road park area…

The park includes a large MUD PIT, ROCK CRAWL AREA, TRACTOR/TRUCK PULL AREA, as well as an OFF ROAD RACING COURSE. See pictures of the off road-park here! www.4x4crossracing.com

Itinerary:
1st off let me start by saying that no one under any circumstance has to attend any of the events that will be held! This will be an open go as you please weekend with activities held for your leisure and also to help keep down congestion on the trails…

Saturday morning from 8:30 AM-11:00 AM, we will start off with
CAMERAS & COFFEE!
This will be a large meet and greet right across from the Eldorado Outpost. You can walk right over to the Outpost and get you a cup of coffee, as this time will be your chance to look at everyone’s rigs, take pictures, as well as meet new faces and club members that will be coming from all around.

All day Saturday the off road park as well as the off-road trails (with a pass) will be open to all. We have already 3 magazines (including 4wd Toyota Owner Magazine) and possibly an off-road TV show will be there doing articles and taking photos of the rigs, and the action on the trails all day.

Saturday night will be the main event!!

Around 6:30 PM, we will be having a BENEFIT CONCERT!! Performing will be DL Token of Fayetteville, NC . Classic Rock type of music!! www.dltokenunplugged.com .
This will give everyone a chance to wind down and relax after a great day on the trails!! Between each song will be the free raffle. We will have raffle prizes from ARB, Warn Winch, AllPro Offroad , SmittyBuilt, BudBuilt, Westin, N-Fab, 4Wheel Parts of Raleigh, WabFab, Monster Energy Drink, 4x4Cross Racing, and many many more…We have 17 sponsors so far and counting! We will have “Vendors Alley” where all that will sponsor us will have an invitation to come set up a display for you to see the product that they carry!! There will also be food vendors there if you do not want to bring your own food.

After the concert will be the lighting of the BON FIRE!!

XM Radio will be playing LIVE MUSIC to set the atmosphere for a ROCK CRAWL UNDER THE STADIUM LIGHTS starting at 8:00 PM with Ricky Wilson from 4x4Crosss Racing on the PA system for the event!!

This will be the first ever event at Uwharrie National Forest open to all clubs, individuals, and 4x4 makes and models!! Come join us as we make this a great success for such a wonderful cause!! If you have any questions, Please feel free to contact me via email at daniel.conger@hendrickauto.com or phone at (910)868-5071…Thanks and look forward to seeing you there!! We will also be having an event website soon with early registration give aways!!

PS. We have gotten with the DOT of NC and should be able to get temporary passes for the weekend for the non road legal vehicles to be able to cross the highways and drive to the trails…also we will not be selling alcohol but if you have it, it must be in a cup or container per the land owner. Thanks

I wasn't there last year, so I can't offer an opinion on the band that was there.

However I can say Sunny Ledfurd puts on a great show. :bounce2:

The event last year was great! I plan on coming again.

My suggestions:

Try to control the crowd a bit more around the night events like the freestyle rock crawl and truck pulls. Get everyone into each event and don't give the crowd a choice as to how long each thing goes on. I didn't have much of an audience when I pulled second place in my bone stock dodge 1500.

Also, a schedule of events would be perfect. I can't remember if there was one last year or not, but if I know ahead of time when each competition/event/raffle is happening I can be sure to be there. I missed half the raffle last year because I didn't realize it was going on.

Have the church back serving breakfast again. That was some EXCELLENT food and you can't beat the price. Also, let more food vendors in and not just the church group. People like a variety. There was a guy across the street serving ribs and they were mighty tasty. Heck, have Terry come out and serve hot dogs! I'm sure several of us will chip in and help him take money and make dogs.

Definitely more of the following: parts vendors, free and non-free shirts/hats stickers and other goodies, hot chicks taking donations for the cause, and items for raffle.

About all I can think of at the moment. I'll post more if it comes to me.

There's 2 votes for Sunny Ledfurd. Daniel, If you want the number to reach them, send me an email. They really are a great live band that does some covers and some original stuff. It's rock, hip-hop and country all rolled into one.

never been to the event but most deffently looking for donations for my poor a** to get there lol.. I vote for sunny also and will most likely be there this year. THE DATES are the same this year also arent they???

Dates will be November 19-21 this year!!

Let me start by saying I had a great time last year and I plan on coming back this year. scheduling is a MUST, at the rock crawl last year when the truck broke a axle then a hub at the top if we would have had the tractor we could have saved the truck from flopping. So scheduling is a MUST.
