Do we have any ford tecs around?
I just finished swaping a 85 svo turbo charged 2.3T into my 88 ranger that came with a 2.3. I had the motor in and running good on the ranger computer for several months before I swaped in the SVO computer, turbo and sensors.
After swaping that stuff in it would not start. Messed with a few thing and got it running but had two bad injectors. After replacing those two injectors it now starts great but dies after 10 seconds. Timming is right, has good spark, Fuel psi is in spec while cranking and running. I rechecked the wireing and everything seams ok. Replaced the TFI module with a spare I have. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this problem. I ran a KOEO (key on engine off) test with my snap-on computer and everything checks ok. I can't get it to run long enough to run a KOER (key on engine run) test. If anyone can help thanks.

Uses a Bp sensor instead of map. I will check it. No mass air flow uses VAF. Not sure on how to test it. Turbo is working fine. I might swap the IAC valve tonight and see if it changes anything.

Lastnight I started rechecking input and output voltages at all the sensors. When I got to the VAM the sig return, Air temp, and VREF checked ok.
But the VAM output voltage was .25v. Spec is 1v to 5v KOEO. Depending on where the flaper is moved to. If I hold the flaper open to where it shows 1v it will run fine. So time to find a small vam.
