State Fair Demo Derby - Build by CNC4x4

well CNC4x4 decided to run a Van in the Demo Derby this year at the State Fair.

so come check us out Sat the 23rd at 2pm

I am in the process of painting it

Awesome! I wish I lived closer, I'd be there in a hurry! I took my wife to her first demo derby at the Iredell County Fair last month and she loved it!

There aren't too many in this area.

Are you at all worried about the driver's seat being close to the.. .er... action? Are other olks running vans? Seems aside from the FWD class, people tend to drive big long cars just so there's more ramming space that can get crunched up.

got most of the paint done today..

I did use the wrong color gray but oh well

yes it is a hi lift.. we found it on a trail clean up day and it is bent so it works perfect for this

The side door locks (chain) makes it look like you were building it to drive in Durham....
Love the look of it just wish I could see it in action.

we got final stuff done last night and added all stickers

Remember the van runs at the 2pm this saturday

sorry to say but the stickers were already in the works when you posted that

Well I am happy to say the Van did great when it was running

we won bet appearance award ( got a trophy, I will take pic tomorrow )

but water leaked out of radiator and engine got to hot and once it stalled it would not start but the van did great and Randal was an awesome driver..

here is one after pic and more will follow tomorrow

Was the water leak from impact damage, or just faulty "prep work"?
Alot of guys move them to way up under or inside the vehicle to keep 'em preotected from bashes...

being that we went over entire cooling system before we think radiator got smashed, or a hose blew.
