im considering beadlocks of some kind for my truck 1998 F150 i've done some research no one makes a beadlock wheel for my bolt pattern so im considering the staun internals or getting some cheap steel wheels and doing a diy beadlock ? is which would be the better option and the pros and cons of each

I will probably run Stauns if I ever find a pot of money for several reasons:
1. Double Beadlock
2. You can run them with Aluminum wheels
3. No bolts to come loose, leak, or beat up
4. Don't add much rotational mass
5. Kind of the sleeper effect where noone knows you have beadlocks
6. Can't be installed in a way that would cause a lot of imbalance.

DIY beadlocks are cheaper and help protect your wheel, plus they look cool.

Plus I know a guy that makes the diy kit :D

seriously though. I loved my diy locks. They took way more of a beating than an aluminum wheel ever would have

I'm looking at internal bead locks also. I was gonna give the InnerAirLock brand a try if i did. Though after reading some Pbb threads on which glue works best I may try to glue the tires on and see how that works before I try the internal locks... keep us posted..

I have Stauns and I love them. I can run 4psi with no problems what-so-ever. I also like that they are double locks. ...as stated above...
Another advantage is that my junk is street legal. I dont have to worry about any problems with inspections and beadlock wheels.

I brought up the stauns cuz im getting a loan here in the next couple of weeks to get a decent dd & to throw $ at my truck. i want to mainly just wheel the truck and have the most ability i can get out of the truck
