Steel venders

I live in the Hickory area and need a place to get steel at a decent price. I don't need a lot, so buying in bulk is not an option. I need a piece of 1/4 flat steel for a skid plate (4'x2') and some 4"x2" c channell.

AMC Steel in Asheville. They can bend your .25 plate also.

Did you try benco? They aren't overly expensive.

Still in the planning stages. I want to make a smooth surface, no bolts on the bottom, but bolted to the sides of the frame. I have lot's of Ideas, but haven't nailed down a solution.
