Exactly how does one go about taking one of these off? All of the nuts are off, its disconnected from the drag link, but there appears to be 'adapters(?)' around the bolts. That's what Chiltons calls them, but it says nothing about removing them or the arm. Any suggestions? I know somebody on here has dealt with these.

cone washers, or cone spacers is what I call them.

Lot's of good lube like liquid wrench. tapping on the side of the arm with some prying up at the same time. some times you can get them to pry them up with a pick or screw driver.
Good luck

Yeah it has the cone washers on it. Tap on it, beat on it, heat it up with a torch and beat on it again.

Heat or liquid lube like PB or WD40. Soak good and then massage with a BFH. Should be able to pop them up enough to get some channel locks or vise grips on them.

remove the draglink and use a 4lb sledge where the drag link connects, that should pop out your cone washers.......spent 3 days in my younger years with a bottle of PB. I love sledges now. :)

I just removed mine a few weeks ago....totally agree with the BFH method, maybe some heavy metal music....and get angry at it....seems to work.
