Steering binds and pops - help?

My steering binds and pops intermittently under load or when crawling. The pops or binds can be repeated at the same spot when its occurring.

The issue doesn't occure on the jake stand. Any suggestoins?

BTW - its a CJ7 power steering box and D44 axles.
 
check your ujoints in the axle. Sounds like your issue
 
Checked the U joints - there fine. I think its my lower steering rod coupler catching/binding + plus my steering rood is not flexing the way it should - its pushing back into the steering columne when it binds - creating that popping noise.

Anyone seen this before?
 
Just a thought... have you adjusted tie rod or anything? I had that issue at one point but that was my own stupidity on not tightening the end bolts. When i turned the wheel the pressure made a sound like the tension was pulling the threads through the adjustment sleeve.
