I have a new project that needs a new steering box. Where is everyone getting they're steering boxes? I have had questionable experiences with the big box store steering boxes. I've seen the redhead and bluehead steering boxes, but they seem pricey and for my application you have to send the box in to be rebuilt. PSC does not make a box to fit my application either. I'm leaning more toward a napa box, they seem to be a good balance of quality and price.

Where is NC4X4 getting there steering boxes?

Junkyard. Every box has a slightly different ratio to it, assuming you're asking about Jeep boxes. I'll grab a few from different models, take them home and try them out until I land with one that works well with my setup. Hydraulic assist can be a great mediator or it can make the whole plan fall apart.
Right now I've got a junkyard box out of a '97 ZJ and it's works great. I may actually go buy a brand new one now, or just buy up a lifetime supply of them next time I go to a junkyard and probably SAVE money.

Napa's will be a1 cardone in a napa box. No different than advance auto zone or o'reilly in my opinion.

We've not had many bad ones at work between advance or napa either one will work.

Find what application works best then wander a few junk yards and look at the seals. If it wasn’t leaking going into the JY it should be good.
