hey guys i'm posting this for my second cousin.
ok here goes. he's got a jeep that he put a dana 44 front
axle out of a scout on. he's having trouble getting the steering right. anybody make an afordable high steer kit for this?
his jeep has spring over axle and about 6 inches of lift.
he had it workin pretty good but it would steer good to one side and not so good to the other.
thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like he either has the pitman arm on wrong or he has the drag link too long.

Scout axles have 0 castor built in from the factory? Did he address that or is everything stock?

Another thing to check ...

If he's using stock scout knuckles in conjunction with a Jeep pitman arm, the jeep pitman arm will be too short. Scout pitman arms are looooong, to match the long arms on the knuckles. Mixing and matching will usually result in compromized turning raduis. If this is the problem, swap to ford or jeep knuckles or swap the pitman if there's room.

highsteer requires swapping knuckles to chevy/FSJ/ford milling, tapping, etc. IHONLY offers a "kit". Expect to pay dearly for a legit highsteer system.
