So in my quest to improve my heep I've been putting together a little shopping list. I've been having a minor issue with bump steer, so I'm planning on putting on a steering stabilizer since my stock one is nowhere to be found and taking a look at my tie rod ends.

So basically what I'm asking is if I should get the IRO dual stabilizer kit and only use the second one for better clearance, or if I will be just as good with a stock one. The price difference will be around 20 bucks.

Once I get done playing with my front end I do plan on getting an alignment since i don't know when how long it's been and tires don't grow on trees.

I strongly suspect my tie rod ends, but I assume the factory had a reason for putting a stabilizer on. I've read that the reason is because of a large amount of castor from the factory. Hopefully my TREs or something else somewhat simple are the cause and I don't have a bigger problem. I just want the stabilizer for peace of mind.
 
I was gonna say adding a stabilizer isn't gonna help with bump steer, but you need one anyways if you gonna drive it on the street. I'd go to Orilleys and get the HD one they have, its not gonna be as good as say a fox, or another highend brand but it's gonna be a whole lot better than nothing. The dual kit is basically two stock ones stacked, and cost more than the HD one.
To fix the bump steer your probably gonna need an adjustable track bar for starters. Post a pic of your front end sitting flat and you'll get a whole lot more help. If also check all your ball joints, TREs control arm bushings while your at it. If its been wheeled for over a year with fairly stock stuff it probably needs to be replaced, I've done it several times
 
I've got an adjustable track bar, came with it. Whether or not it's adjusted correctly I have no clue.
Is that something I should see about adjusting and then have it aligned or what.
Also I'll get a pic in the morning, don't have one on hand.
 
Yes it should ideally match the angle of your drag link. I'd also check for play on the frame side and axle side. The frame side the bolts can come loose, axle side the mount can start ripping itself off the axle. I've had both problems
 
Alright thanks for the good help, ill let you know how things go tommorow after work. Gonna go ahead and get the stabilizer and some other stuff on the way.
 
To add to what @Loganwayne said, to get rid of bump steer you need to make sure your track bar and drag link are parallel to each other and also very close to the same length.
With you saying your rod ends are worn and you suspect they are the cause, is there any chance you are confusing death wobble with bump steer?
What kind of tie rod and track bar do you have? There are heavy duty upgrades that can help with longevity.
 
IRO OTK steering. If it is death wobble it is a very slight case. Really all it is is if I hit a dip or bump in the road my steering wheel reacts. Gets pretty annoying if I go to the dragstrip about a 45 minute drive
 
I have seen a few of your flex pics of the front end. Take a pic of the front steering sitting on level ground. That will give us an idea of what is going on.
 
With the amount of lift you have and with that steering setup, I'd suggest a custom track bar and relocating the mounts as well. You can get more length out of the trackbar by using new frame mount as well a new axle side mount. Your angles look good, but the length difference between the two will attribute to bump steer.
 
Where my track bar mounts to the body is loose! Going to fix that after work today. Also pretty sure my trackbar is dropped a good bit with this lift, will get better pics after work
