Sterling 10.25

You can match any of these 10.25 ratios with a 60;
3.30/3.55/3.73/4.11/4.30/4.56/4.88/5.13/5.38

thanks,

I've been offered an F350 with D60 front and the Sterling 10.25 rear, auto trans and 7.5 gas.
I'm building a rock buggy from the F350 parts, am I better off staying away or will it be strong enough?

Only weak link in the 10.25 are the threads on the pinion and the pinion bearings. They actually redesigned the pinion bearing spacing in 94 (ish?) to spread the bearings out. If you're using new gears with a new nut, you should be fine as far as the pinion threads go... but I'd be careful using old gears.

thanks for the info,
I have purchaced the F350 and will be shipping it to Aus soon. So far, everyone is great to deal with in the U.S.:) As we build the buggy I'll be looking for more answers to newbie questions.
I'll try to post up a build thread as things progress.
