Hey all, I picked up a 79 toy 4x4 and was looking at replacing the front springs since the ones on it are totally shot... Anyone have any advise on some good replacements? I looked at Trail Gear 3 in classic lift but to be honest I'm not sold on lifting it...

Could do rears up front but will require welding in a new hanger. What are your plans for it.
Im not sure, I have been toying with making it into a DD plus occasional Uwharrie/ other offroad trails, it has a mariln crawler HD w56 tranny in it, that and the weber carb are the only mods. its got rust real bad and the front springs have totally collapsed and done the underwrap thing. Since I bought it at auction for a dollar, im not to worried about the rust im just planning on doing the POR-15 route on the rust, ive already cut off the bed and sold what was left of it to the scrap metal guys... so its going to be a fun project!

Rears up front are a cheap and awesome replacements. It will move the axle forward about 2". My RUF will be going in in about 2-3 weeks.
Yeah Ive thought about a RUF too, how much lift would i see out of that?
