stock tj tire sizing

I want to increase the size tire on my '06 TJ. Does anyone know what is the max size I can mount with out any type of lift. I am new to the TJ world. It doesn't even compare to my CJ.

From what I've heard, you should be able to get by with a 31x10.50. Might have some slight rubbing when turning, but all in all, you should be fine.

if you do 31's you can adjust your steering stops to stop the rubbing. you'll lose a little bit of turning radius but you won't rub anymore

I run 31x10.50s on my stock TJ rims. Rubs the suspension a little when I turn the wheel all the way, but not bad enough that I am willing to spend the money on wheel spacers. If you got rims with the right backspacing, you wouldn't have any rub at all.

^ just adjust your steering spacers. cheap way to fix the rubbing!

If you run aftermarket rims w/ 3.75" bs they won't rub.
