Stolen Wheels/Tires

My XJ threw a rod down in Garner at the Oregon trail, I had to leave it there overnight, but when I came back, it was sitting on the axles because some douchebags stole my 33x12.50 Trxus M/T's right off of it.

If any of you know who did it, or see some for sale, or someone out of nowhere has an almost new set of these, please let me know.

All I know so far is that the guy who stole them was driving a burgundy/red 90's Silverado Z71 with a toolbox in the bed pulling a small ATV trailer that had no plate. He was a white guy with a goatee if i recall correctly and was riding ATVs with a black dude, they knew my jeep was out there because they rode down to it, and I have two witnesses that say they saw him return back to the trail in the dark, pouring rain right after I left. If you see this guy out there at Oregon, please get his plate number and let me know.

Thanks so much.

its an actual road that hasn't been maintained. If you look on google maps you can see the line for the road but the terrain view shows a path...

Yeah thats what I thought it was, the sheriff who showed up was a total asshole to me at first because he assumed it was private land, he told me right off "lots of people kill people but that doesn't make it okay to do". After he got into my buddy's jeep and we took him back there, he lightened up and I think he might've even had a good time wheelin' :)

But really y'all, if you know anyone who acquires a set of used 33x12.50x15 TrXus's, let me know ASAP. They were on 10 spoke Jeep factory rims, the 80's style, so keep an eye out, I'm a damn broke college student, I just finished paying them off a few weeks ago.

sorry about your loss but you shouldnt be wheeling private property and stuff wouldnt get stolen. And why would you post directions....... It IS private property.

As per the posts above - it's a road, not private property.

just google earth it and looks like private property to me incase you was infact on the side of the road called Oregon trail but if you had to take the cop out to your jeep in your buddies jeep im gussing you wasnt on the state part of the road who knows sorry for ya loss

forgot to add this too private roads also do show up on google and yahoo and could be misunderstood as public but the road is indeed private just dosnt show up on the net maps

From my understanding, its a private road. The landowner doesnt care, but its in the back of the neighborhood and the residents care since they have to see it all the time. I have never met the land owner, nor have I ever seen anyone with written permission to be there.

Its almost in my backyard (about 10 mintues from my house to the dirt), but I dont like going back in there. I have been there (not going to lie about it), but all it is is mud and trash.

Ryley, Ill keep an eye out for them, but I havent seen anyone around my area with any trxus mts or any new swamper tire. Most of the guys in this area like to run mall terrains for some reason......

Have you called any shops like galloways in new london

I would bet these guys might have taken them to some place like Galloways to sell them. Every time I have been there somebody always comes in selling tires!

One more thing

Old man lester would remember that truck &tires so I would call tomorrow & ask if anybody sold some tires & wheels matching yours. Plus ask him about the truck.

Ill keep an ear open, I know alot of friends that go out there.
For some background info, it is private property. The original entrance was in the trailor park behind the landing strip on 50. The land owner is not local to NC, so no one is there to monitor. The trailor residence got upset with 900 trucks going in/out and muddn up the access road, so cops started coming. The true backyard wheelers just found another entrance to gain access, and guess which road that would be that you plasterd all over the forum.

Actually, it is both private property AND a road...

If you stay on Cheyenne (and do not venture off on one of the side trails), you are on a PUBLIC road.

Once you venture off the edge of Cheyenne, you are on private property. AND, there are over 50 seperate lots back there, so you could be trespassing over 50 seperate times. There may be one owner or multiple owners of the land. I haven't checked that far into it (Wake Co. computers give an error code when searching for the property details...)

Property within 150' of either side of the main road is owned by Equity Investments Inc. out of Raleigh. They also own the mobile home park so, this is undeveloped expansion of the mobile home park.

Past 150' to the west is owned by Crosswinds Development out of Carey. So, the main road ONLY is public. Anything off of either side is trespassing! My thoughts, stay away.

BTW, hope you find your wheels and tires.

LOL, damned if you do and damned if ya dont huh? Guess thats why we have plenty of places to go wheelin in nc, if what we have is not good enough im guessing use your own back yard. Sorry bout ya luck hope ya find your wheels and tires !

Anyone got some XJ Steelies for cheap? I still have my 31" procomp mall terrains but no rims :\ I was supposed to be back in boone last monday, I've still got to get my engine out of my jeep, it's a royal pain in the arse.

I have some alum for cheap but shipping would defeat the purpose
