So I was sick yesterday and slept all day and was up all night. Come downstairs for a drink. Hear something outside and open the door. Sounded like someone running but didn't see anything. Doors were still locked on my Jeep and didn't think much of it. Get out there this morning and both the bottom bolts were taken off my rear shocks and they were just hanging down. Who in the heck tries to steal shocks?

a buddy caught a guy rummaging thru his Jeep one night. put a pistol to the perps head and told him to put everything back. the guy promptly put back 1/2 full bottle of Anti-Freeze, a chain, a strap, and a couple other random items that added up to about $50 brand new.

Well at least it wasnt your brakes.. People are dumb so im not suprised there.

Just too random. My neighbor had his Jeep button stolen off his steering wheel like 2 mo ago and someone tried to rip out his cd player alil while ago at the house. Hate to say it but it sounds like a Jeep driving teenager or something.

I feel ya. I had a proximity alarm on my Jeep and I parked it outside my friends house with the top down, I didnt arm the alarm. I came back out 15-20 mins later (in the daylight) and I see a white wrangler driving off. I look in my car and notice my drivers seat is pushed forward and my radar detector was sitting on the dash. The punks had tried to grab the radar detector but I had it hardwired so they just cut the wire but left it?!? They didnt touch the CD player, but I had 6 cases of CDs in my truck, they left the big book of over 100 CDs but took my small book with only 10 CDs?! And thats all they made out with.... Theives are dumb to begin with so there is no explanation to their madness.

friend of mine had a year-old chrome exhaust tip stolen off of his truck while it was in a parking deck. Someone SAWED it off:confused:

had a guy at work come out one morning and his chebby truck would not start. raised the hood to jump it off, looked down to see his starter missing. someone took out the bolts and cut the wires.

had a guy steal my truck......in front of a sherriff.

bad thing is....he got away with it.

I had a guy break into the crawl space under my house a while back. He was trying to steal my old road race bike. What the idiot didn't realize was that the master bedroom is right above the crawl space door and he was down there with a pair of chanel locks ripping off the latch. the cops found him hiding under my utility trailer in a bed of poison ivy and hauled him off to jail. Plus, he dropped the chanel locks in my yard and i found them the next day. They are still in my tool box to this day.

the guy was just lucky I didn't squeeze off a few rounds into my bedroom floor.

Hmmm. You dont think this guy was going for the whole axle do you?

Maybe I'm overthinking it - but if I were goin gfor an axle, I'd jack up the vehicle so tehre wasn't any weight on it... :driver:

Years ago, my dad was the body shop manager at the old Pontiac dealership on Capital Blvd. It was Amburn Pontiac back then.

He had a 78 CJ-7, parked inside the barbed-wire fence.

Someone stole the TRANSMISSION out of it. Left every bolt in the floorboard, along with the transfer case and driveshafts.
It was the T-150 3-speed. They took it, and had to pass it OVER the fence.

yeah but its a T150 it weighs what 45 lbs?

my truck has so many shape edges that someone would surely get tetanus if they messed around it too much

we had several GUTTED catalytic converters stolen out of the fence behind our shop off of various trucks....was funny, until we noticed the lock cut on the storage barn, and the 12 or so transmissions and the radiator, and driveshafts for the bastard blazer gone....

my house has been broken into 3 times in the past year!!!! some people just have balls instead of brains i guess. wish they would try it while i was home.

Should have told him to leave his shoes and socks too before he sent him on his way.

some one else on here had the gears stolen out of there rig and all the bolts put in the floor board and "no one knows how it happened". That is all I have to say about that.

In college (1996 or 97), somebody stole the carpet out of the front seats of my CJ-7. They left the radio (Kenwood CD), CB & all the CDs. Everything else was untouched. Go figure :wtf:
