there is a rail that runs through the back of the duster and slides into two brackets (same kind of brackets the soft top rear window slides into)...

what kind of grease/lube do u guys PREFER for joints and everything? i just got a NEW grease gun from HF and i didnt know what good grese i should buy.

Something synthetic. Your owners manual will have a spec on what to use on your ball joints.

Poly-Urethane requires a non petroleum gease (synthetic or Something Silly Cone based).

If you've never used a grease gun (just in case) Don't pack the grease in the ball joint too much or it will break the rubber dust cover. Just pack enough in there so you see it start to swell up. As soon as you see it begin to swell stop. It won't take much. When removing the gease gun fitting, hold it to one side and then pull it off the zirc. Try pulling straight off you you'll have a hard time.

I usually get the Mobil 1 synthetic grease. I have tried about a 1/2 dozen different kinds including marine grease but the Mobil 1 stuff doesn't seem to wash out as quickly.
