I'm looking at buying two new batteries for my boat.

I want to go with an AGM Battery, however, trojan, odessey and the like are a bit out of my price range.

I'm thinking about the Super Start AGM from O'Reilly

These are going to both be trolling motor only batteries.

Cost is a factor. I can get two of these for less that $300.00

$139.00 Each

Any other battery you would recommend for this application?

The factory 8 year old batteries in my Dodge finally gave up over the Christmas holidays. I replaced them with the Super Start batteries from O'Reilly's. So far so good, but they only have a few days on them. A friend recently had bad results (had two die) with the Duralast batteries from Autozone so I decided to stay away from them.

Got one in the TJ. I was worried about using the winch with it, but pulled for a good bit on Sat at Mt. City and it was all good.

Thanks!

Found out that they are made by East-Penn Deka. So they are made in the US.

Just don't know if the AGM is going to be worth the extra cost

Super Start 27D Marine Deep Cycle is 79.99

Super Start 27 Marine Deep Cycle AGM is 177.99

You dont want an AGM in a boat, in my experience.

They will not hold up to the discharge cycle.
