Remember the timing marks. That's the big screw-up on these guys. It's different from most 4 cylinder cars. If #1 is at TDC when you're installing the timing belt, then the cam pulley should be at 6:00, not 12:00. Both cam and crank timing marks should point at the stud in the front cover that the timing cover bolts to. Chilton's and Hayne's got this wrong. Thousands have been set up 180° out of time because of this.
