Swapping broken F8.8LSD for an Ox

My F8.8 LSD carrier finally went titsup. Saturday in URE.
Had a Powertrax in it. The PT is fine and salvageable so I will probably sell it.
Going to order an Ox locker.
Can I reuse the ring gear and carrier bearings if they are not damaged?

Lucked out. The fractures were smile shaped so the side pressure kept it together until I got home. I did not find the break in the carrier until I opened it up on Sunday.
My most expensive trip to URE to date.
I figure if I'm not breaking something I'm not learning something new.

dang dude... what were you doing when it broke? i have the same setup and am headed up to URE next saturday... dont want to end up in the same situation haha...

I probably screwed it up on Daniel.
I've been up D several times. It is also my DD so all the pavement miles probably stressed it out over time. Probably 30K miles or more before it quit.

Also I probably bounced a few too many rocks trying to get up as well.
But what the heck. I finally have my excuse to buy an Ox locker.

i didnt think that the lsd carriers would allow for you to use a lunchbox locker?

Yes. Powertrax No-Slip makes one for it. $489 compared to about $279 if you have the open carrier.
Base on Richmond Gear web site it is not manufactured anymore but several supplier still have them in stock.
