OKAY HERE IS WHAT HAS BEEN DONE. NEW SHIFT FORKS 1-2&3-4, NEW SHIFT RAIL BALLS AND SPRINGS. SOMETIMES IT WILL JAM IN GEAR REQUIRING TO TAKE SHIFTER OUT AND ALIGN THE SQUARE WHERE THE SHIFTER FITS IN. ANY IDEAS WHY IT JAMS. I KNOW THAT I HAVENT YANKED IT BACK HARD. USUALLY DOES IT IN 2nd OR 4th. thanks in advance :driver:
 
Did you also replace the shifter detent lug on the shift rail for 1st and 2nd gear that is seperate from the shift fork. are the locking pins worn at the shift pivot, is the cap that holds the shifter in good or have the little tabs sprung?
