t18 to tf999 CJ

Got the line up on a tf999 for my junk. Ive been wantin an auto for a while. This one is complete behind a 258. I know ill need a tranny cooler, flexplate, and shifter, but what else will be poppin up on me? I have a d300 now, and id love to clock it but ive read where otheres have had issues with pan clearance with pass drop axles. Are there any mods i should do to make sure it will still pull when the nose is pointed to the sky?
 
I ran a 904 (non lock up version of the 999) for awhile behind a stroked 258. It held up fine. The only thing you might consider is installing a deep pan to hold more fluid. Also its alittle tight where your shift linkage is and the exhaust pipe on the drivers side. I had to wrap the pipe to keep the heat down because it would melt the shift cable.
If you do clock the dana 300. you will need a smaller diameter driveshft up front to help with clearence when your flexed.
