taking a trip.... suggestions

me and the lady are going to savannah ga in the morning and just trying to hit a few hot spots.. let me know if you have been and whats the best thing to check out. Ive heard its a kick ass town just want some input thanks
 
We stopped in on River St. to see an old high school friend(of my wife's) she was running a toy store right there on the river.

It was a beautiful scene with lots of cool boats to see. Ther was an old viking ship docked in front of her store.

There is a hotel built right over the street. Thats kind of neat to see.

Other than that...I got nothing.
 
I've never been to Savannah, but I always like checking out historic forts and stuff. I've been to some in Florida and had a good time. Savannah has Tybee Island where there are two forts I think. There's also a lighthouse there too.
 
I go to Savannah a couple times a year. If you like History Savannah has it....I thoroughly enjoyed the history tour around town. It was worth every penny. Check out the restaraunts and bars down on river st.
 
Find a older local and ask them where they go on SPECIAL occasions. We usally do this and it works out great! They don't go where the S.A.T.'s go. Oh, a SAT is a Stupid American Tourist! We've found fantastic resturants and clubs with great live bands. Once asked a old black lady that was a room service(maid) and we went to a nightclub with the best seafood and live blues band, stayed till closing 3:00 am! We were asked by the management if we wanted to be escorted to our car. We said yes, my wife and I were the ONLY white couple in the large night club! We had a blast, and would like to go back one day. It was in Charleston, SC. ps, we asked for a manager when we arrived, and asked if we would be out of place and explained that we didn't want to put him on the spot. He thanked me for the respect and promised us there would NOT be a problem!
