This is why it is hard to follow you, the info you are giving keeps changing.....

First you say they aren't allowed to be built, then you say that they can't even be sold in the US...... Then you say one local Dist has 800 for sale and is selling 10-20 a week.

Then you end up all that to say that you can still buy a RECON engine but you can not buy a NEW engine.......

So can they sell them NEW and are they selling them NEW?





This is what I think is going on and maybe someone will correct me or add to it.

If it true all Cummins plants shut down making the 5.9 and they are not going to be used for anything new from this point on, they being, Cummins and Dodge, have a lot of them setting around to use for the next several years and at one point those 5.9's will be gone from the new stock and will be no more. The Recon will be pumping out motors for more years then we would need them I would bet and the day of having a truck and not having a motor to put in it would never be a problem. I don't think I would ever worry about getting one of the 5.9 trucks or say that would be a bad point about getting one.
